The 学生成功中心 is a great resource for new, incoming students such as 转学生，刚毕业的 高中生, 国际学生，或同时入学的学生. The Center provides an individualized approach of connecting students to available resources from transition into 拉克万纳大学 through graduation. We empower students to make informed academic and personal decisions to meet their goals. We offer a variety of programming options to promote student persistence and success. Our goal is to help students thrive while at 拉克万纳大学 and beyond through certificates, varying levels of degrees, graduate and professional 项目 as well.

The first step will be to schedule an Academic Orientation. Our Academic Orientations are offered in-person and virtually. 在学术指导期间, you will meet with an Academic Advisor to schedule your classes for your first semester. You will also have the opportunity to meet faculty and staff to discuss your academic goals and plans. They can provide you with information regarding 金融援助 一学年.

Academic Advising is a collaborative relationship, consisting of intentional interactions between advisor and advisee, 这对学生整体有利, 的顾问, 和十大电子游艺网站. The advisor and advisee develop an academic plan and implement solutions to guide student success. A productive advising relationship will help students envision, foster, and achieve their goals. 拉克万纳大学’s Student Advising Program is based on the premise that there is no substitute for faculty and professional staff members who serve as role models and mentors to their students.
 
All matriculating students are assigned a member of the College’s faculty or professional staff as an academic advisor at the beginning of their studies at 拉克万纳大学. 入读专业课程的学生(i.e., 健康科学专业, School of 热情好客 Programs) are assigned to an advisor within that program.

Students attending the satellite centers have the option to attend ground classes at the Scranton campus, 在他们的中心有一些有限的产品, or they may schedule bachelor level courses in the online format. 

Our AA/AS 项目 seamlessly transition into our comparable BA/BS degrees for currently enrolled students. The 注册商’s Office and appropriate academic department will also review previously completed coursework for any student considering one of our BS 项目.

Articulation agreements are also in place with numerous public and private universities.
